Does waffle knit shrink?
Modern Waffle Weave towels will shrink into large honeycombs with a wider lattice that forms rows on the towel. That wide lattice makes them feel a little smoother and softer. All of our towels come over-sized to allow for shrinkage (12-15% overall).
Do waffle shirts shrink?

Can you iron waffle knit fabric?
While waffle weave will naturally contract, as can be expected as it makes the material absorbent, it should also stretch back out to its original size in time. If a more flattened weave is desired, you can use a warm iron as needed.

Will 100 cotton blanket shrink?
Given 100% cotton is not a blend, it is more likely to shrink that its blended counterparts assuming it’s not been pre-shrunk. As a guideline, you can still expect pre-shrunk 100% cotton to shrink by 2-5% or slightly more, so make sure to check the tag to see if the item you’re looking at has been pre-shrunk before.

Waffle Knit is a textured fabric with waffle-like indents on the surface which traps moisture and warm air to provide insulation and high moisture absorbency. Waffle Knit is not as stretchy as other knit fabrics like Cotton Jersey or French Terry. It’s a 2 way stretch.
